Chattakkari the story of an Anglo Indian girl which was directed by K S Sethumadhavan in 1974, is about to be remade by his son Santhosh Sethumadhavan and the prominent producer of Mollywood, Suresh Kumar under the banner of Revathy Kalamandir is planning to reproduce it. Shamna Kasim(Poorna) is fixed in the role of Julie, which was made alive by Lakshmi. The character requires glamorous scenes and Lakshmi's performance was beyond the expectations.

After critically acclaimed movie Orma Mathram, Dileep is doing yet another serious film titled Arike. This will be directed by Shyamaprasad, who has won several state, national and international film awards. This is for the second time Dileep teaming up with Shyamaprasad. Earlier they worked together in Kallukondoru Pennu, which was released in 1998. Mamtha and Samrutha will be the heroines of Arike.As per the director, Arike deals with emotional attachments which are very close to us and complexities of our relations.
